Nice. What style is that. Most Christmas beers I've had are pale ales bordering on barley wine. I try to enjoy a sixer of Sierra Nevada celebration ale with one of my buddies every year. Very hoppy, high gravity, seasonal brew.
I'm not too much of a IPA hoppy kinda guy. I like pale ales and lagers. This Sam Adams/White Christmas is a white ale with some seasonal spices (nutmeg, cinnamon and orange peel). It took me two of these to really taste the spices, I like it.
Mixed a couple Adam's apples tonight - fitting with the doc cutting my throat today, switching to the distilled grain....the prescribed painkiller does nothing but dull your brain
Don't know why, but over the years, for different reasons and different applications, (back, sciatica, root canal, injuries, broken bones) pain pills never seemed to help me out. I just ended up not taking them and suffered through it all. Ouch.
Very funny Smoke. I have realized drinking is sort of like cutting firewood. I want to be able to continue doing both for as long as humanly possible. So I have to pace myself and do it carefully. I don't want my liver to give out before that. I want to be able to drink a beer or three with friends, family, etc. when I am older as well. Very important to be able to have a few beers throughout life, than just have a whole chitload when your young. And then none later on.
My latest obsession: Chocolate Syrup Martinis. I HAVE to try one. (S'more, Mint, Godiva, Banana Cream Pie, etc.)
Had lunch at Fatheads on Friday...Giant sandwiches and great beer!! Way too many trips to the fridge for Blue Smoothies last night...my head is thumping this morning!! Gasifier...Don't be a quitter!! Liver's like the abuse!
