    Happy New Year to you all. A big Thanks for making this website the fun and interesting (educational?) place that it is. Definitely expanded my horizons. After reading 11 pages of the "What's up today" thread, I realise how well we are getting to know each other. Humour is definitely high on the list but we all know what it is like to have misfortune and can be there for each other - maybe not physically but knowing that others can sympathize with what we are going through makes a big difference.

    Here's to more great cooking, DIY projects, misc and gathering firewood posts.

    I also want to thank all who hang here, as well as all the mods, for making this a great place. I have not spent much time on the web, or forums, till now..and look forward to seeing what's up everyday! I actually found you guys while researching some info on chainsaws, and this is still the only forum for me. Thanks to all, and to all a good night!

    I am late to the party, but happy new years Scotty, and a big thank you to all the mods that are helping you to make this forum so amazing. I often feel like this is not just a firewood forum, but a gathering place to sit and relax and talk to some true down to earth folks.

    Got a kick out of that one Stinny !!! Spent many a summer at my uncles camp near Bridgeton, ME and one of the worst things about spring up there was the bugs! Black flies, horse flies, mosquitos that are voracious..but I can relate to the duck/june bug line, they love those things! Also learned to do loon calls. Ah, the memories...

    BTW...finally found an avatar I liked. Comes from a t-shirt my son sent me..he is an engineer for the company that makes Submarines for the Navy, and actually gets to go out for testing (10 days!). If you can't read it.."Reapers of the Deep"!!!
