    Yes I like orange.

One of my mates brought a new Ktm520EXC in 2001. I had a ride of it, and instantly thought, I gota have one. Later that year I scraped up enough cash and traded in my RMX250 for my first Ktm 520.

I blew the engine, during the 2003 Finke desert race about 90 miles from Alice Springs and the finish line. Rebuilt that engine and later traded that one for a 2004 Ktm525. In 2012 I got a new Ktm500EXC and I got a motard kit for the old 525.
Here is a pick of her at Winton motor raceway.

FatBoy85 I was thinking about your question as I cleaned my flues tonight.

I have 2 inbuilt's 1 in the front corner of my house and one in the back, the one in the back room only sees intermittent use on the coldest of nights, or to heat up the house quickly if we have been out for a while.

The flue of the front heater was clean not even half a cup of creosote came out, a testament to burning seasoned firewood.

The back heater had a little more, probably because it usually gets lit and burned only for short periods then let go out, it hardly ever gets reloaded.

In any case I hope this answers your question about eucalyptus gumming up heaters and flues. It's not an issue at all, if that is all that collects in a season.

I cleaned the glass with a damp rag it only took a few minutes.[IMG]

Absolutely answers it. People were being dumb by burning it WET!!!!! You sir do it right. Plus that hot azz climate helps you quite a bit as well. I saw pictures of what looked like hardened tar in a flu. The wood testimonial was written by a woman who was irate, she felt cheated in saying how she burned this wood saying this happened to coat her stove and chimney. All those negatives. Well I had to take a guess and wonder if the wood regardless of being seasoned or not was bad to put in. So yes this answers it completely. She might as well have burned a railroad tie that dipped that same day! Good on you. Nice insert by the way! I hope to come upon some eucalyptus around here some of it grows as landscape trees. The goal is to burn just about any feasible burning wood I can in my lifetime. Omitting poisonous and the rare. :handshake:

4 months have passed since I have been out the bush cutting wood, I was starting to get a little depressed watching my hord shrink.

Well all is better now because I got out to the new wood cutting area this morning which is only 1 mile from home.

Dad came out and I cut a couple of trailer loads for him as well. The beauty of being so close to home is that dad took a load home while I loaded my trailer, then came back for round 2.

My farther and I went out the bush for another couple of trailer loads of wood this morning. 1 load went to dad's house and one to my place.

That's dads hand truck, he put the extra wheels on it for moving heavy items over soft ground.

It works well, especially in the bush but it's heavier than my standard hand truck/dolly.

A couple of weeks ago a friend at work told me that he was buying a new house and that it had a wood stove.

He then asked me where he could go to cut dry firewood.

I told Mark that his best bet wood be to come wood cutting with me and that when he takes ownership of his new home that I would drop him a load of seasoned firewood to get him trough the shoulder season.

We went out bush this morning and had a great day filling our trailers with future BTU's.

Mark started by watching me cut for a while then started loading my trailer. Once he had it half full I took out my Husqvarna 365 and gave him a rundown on safety then cutting techniques and let him have at it.

I looked over a few times to see this big cheeky grin, He was really having fun.

We split the wood that went in to his trailer so the drying process could begin and loaded rounds in to my trailer to be split at home.

    It was a great day!

When I got home I split and stacked my trailer load.
