Another step forward, powerwashed the release agent off of the 2nd pour yesterday, still needs sealed but looks fabulous! Once I get the stone on the rear foundation and basement stoop, and the raised flowerbed up, it will be amazing back there!

This is the transition from the top of the steps to the upcoming patio...

Here you can see the faced flagstone forms we used. He didn't have any access to the expensive brick riser forms, so we opted for flagstone. I'm happy with them, they fit the build.....

Please disregard the mess that my crown vetch has become (in the background). I planted that a while back as a "temporary" cover over the slate when we put slate fill in to build that addition....that was 9 years ago! I usually keep cropped and clean, but I've been on this patio project for a month and it's gotten away from me. It is all gettin torn out when the concrete guys are done.

Slow and steady as she goes. More progress coming up!

Are you and blacksmith going to re-purpose the iron columns on the porch and use it for forging stock? Lotsa material there.

They're actually just cheaper tin-stamped jobs from the 60s. I'm going to just box them in and case them with stone.

Liked the part about getting the stones. Didn't like the tire part.

I am sure that the wife may let me sneak away for an afternoon when he needs some help! Scotty you'll have to call me down when you are ready to cook the first pizza!:popcorn::drool::drunk::cheers::beerbbq: I can't wait.

Nice project. Remember, you need to set aside some time to enjoy it.

As if the project wasn't Overkill enough, now you're into demo'ing that foundation! Be careful Scotty!

And our ol' buddy walt can relate to that tire incident, on the way to Dennis' GTG in April.

Can't wait to see the build pics of the oven.
