He's a smart man!! When the almighty dollar becomes worthless he and I too would rather have "stuff ". I can survive with "stuff ". I'm game on for a "mad max" scenario !!
Watch fb & cl for prices on stuff. If you've kept track over the last 5ish years, certain items are a better & less risky investment than stocks or cds etc. It's pretty easy math done in %.
This answer!!!! Unfortunately I think my kids will be reaping the rewards as i don't really sell anything.
Ah yes would you like to see my saw portfolio? Diversity, quality and quantity is the key to having a comfortable retirement income for you and your family. To wife: it’s not just another saw, it’s an investment for our future together. Lol
Thing is though it's true. Downtime costs more than people realize. Honestly saws are cheap and easy to justify compared to other things that you could have an interest in. Would love to hear about your portfolio.....who wouldn't
I get it, I do. $ is the only thing holding me back from having 30 saws My best friend has 6 acres covered in investment inventory. haha I keep telling him he could retire from tree work and live well off selling his stuff. He may be like you and doesn’t like parting with stuff. My wife is the same with her stuff.
I agree, I thought it felt like a 60/70 cc saw in my hands, which of course it is. If I were looking for a 70 cc saw I’m not sure if I’d go with the 400 or 462 or 500i. I thought the 400 felt the same as the 462. I’m glad I’m not looking for a 70 cc saw!
If/when I unload it I’ll let you know. I might just gift it to my dad or brother. Brother has a Rancher 455 or 460(can’t remember for sure) that’s a dog.
First cuts with my 261 and I couldn’t be more happy. Cut a load of ponderosa pine and a bit of maple. The 261 made quick work and is easy to use when trim/limb glad I didn’t go with the 400, it would have been to heavy for the trim/limb work.
The salesman that I bought it from didn’t even understand why it doesn’t come with both “dogs” the extra dog only cost like $10. Well worth it!
Congrats on its first use. You will love it more and more with each use. Running mine tomorrow. Wouldve been kinda funny is you cut cherry with its first use!
buZZsaw BRAD never seen a cherry tree around here, but yes, that would have been ironic! Have fun tomorrow!
