Went for a bush cruise in the high country and came home with some fir

Yeah I dont find there is a shortage of wood. It seems that when I want it I can go out and find it although I have some people tell me they find it hard to find the good stuff. I walk the dog and hike as well as go on bush cruises and keep track of where I find good trees until its time to head out and cut them down. Its a hobby as well as a practical passion.

 

Heres its resting spot before entering the stove. You can see my son getting ready to man the splitter. Yes hes wearing eye protection. I find once its all stacked up it looks smaller than when its standing above you as a fully intact tree. Oh well. I find that 15 truck loads or so a year adds up
