I have the newest round hub whatever they call it.. All is working here.. Move the hub away from your wireless router.. Ooops accidentally edited your post and fixed it lol.. I have the newest round hub whatever they call it.. All is working here.. Move the hub away from your wireless router..
My sending unit it the one pictured in the bottom right.. Round white gizmo.. Multi-Sensor Inverted Color Display & 3-Sensor Smart Home Environment System with My AcuRite | AcuRite
I think the main display will put my weather info back online if I use PC connect that's on my laptop. I'm not purchasing something from them again. They aren't denying charging everyone in the future for being able to remotely add weather info and cameras etc. If I buy this access, who's to say in 3 years they won't discontinue that as well?
Unfortunately that's how it is with electronics.. I deal with this in my work daily.. Pretty much 10 years is product cycle.. Part of the reason is components are no longer made so they must redesign so they stop supporting the outdated products.. Not condoning but that's just how it goes at times.. I do wonder what the product life cycle is on the new unit..
Yea I know, just venting I guess. I managed to get weather underground online again, but only through PC connect. Acurite app still yet to connect PWS Dashboard | Weather Underground
Guess you could just go to WU on your phone to see your weather.. I decided to buy the the new device when offered it at a really good price.. It works much better than the original and gets a great signal.. I think this unit will be around for a while.. BTW WU shows you as offline right now..
Uggg! I'll look into the new one. I should've bought, didn't think they wouldn't work at all! I just thought they were no longer offering assistance on them.
Contact tech support and maybe you can get a better deal? Tell them you knew nothing about the change.. To me I use my phone and laptops to see the weather and rarely look at the base unit.. So much better.. New sending unit is much better.. Gets strong signal and has battery backup (9v) if you want to use that.. Battery doesn't do much good in my opinion but I do have one installed..
