260CF327-9A68-4A52-89FF-FE13CDB99CFC.jpeg We've had snow on the ground since early October here at 9,000 feet. Been a good snowboarding year! We got a fresh 4 inches today. Been colder than usual too this winter. Our high was a balmy 19 degrees today. Took this pic today from inside the house. Even the birds look cold. At least I keep them well fed!

So far, so good here. Still raining but the back edge of the storm is not far from us so we are hoping for the best. My guess (and hope) is that the forecasters missed it again.

I'm sure many shelves are bare in grocery stores.

In the PNW so far nothing but rain, lots of it,in the valley's, supposed to snow starting monday, through thursday. We've also had some wind, but, nothing serious. Typical PNW weather. Let her rain, and get cold, lots of wood under cover, dry, seasoned, and being burned.

that don't sound good. Don't mind a storm but hate the high winds.

Rain changing to freezing rain in a few hours, then colder with snow. Hoping they were wrong about what's coming. Backwoods Savage is about 60 miles Northwest of our place and as he posted earlier, they are getting already getting the nasty stuff. Just throw another log on the fire as the old song goes.

It rained overnight. It didn't start showing until this morning. You can still see the grass on the lawn, so it hasn't been as bad as the guessers thought. Now, it is windy, and the roads don't look very good, so I'm glad we're not going anywhere, and we had our friends reschedule when they'll come up to our house. No sense in having people travel when the roads could be really bad. There's a bit of ice too.

Forecast has lessened somewhat for tonight-tomorrow.
Stay tuned, as things could ....uh, will change.
Wife and I just went downtown  :rofl: , (Dennis and a couple others might get the joke) to grab a couple good deals at the local grocery. Came straight home. Roads weren't great but not terrible either.

Hope all of you in the upper Midwest had a good day without too much ice! It’s headed this way for tomorrow. Keep us updated when you’re able.

Was colder here in November than it's been the last month. High 60's today and still 60˚f right now at quarter to midnight. Supposed to be warm again tomorrow then cool off but still not very cold.

Good luck in the storm, stay warm, stay safe.

61 and humid, here in the tropics. Gusty winds, heavy overcast, showers.

    Crazy upside down season.

House stayed at 68, overnight. Thermostat set at 65. Wood stove not lit. Will probably re-light it this evening.

Hi Scavenger , was home all weekend although i did take some work home with me. Fri into Sat morning not bad, couple inches wind blew a lot away, but still had to deal with some drifts, but icy underneath. Got some more Sat . night with the high winds not much stuck around -again a few drifts. Sun fairly quiet but last night 4 " little wind . That took a good 2 hours + to clean up this morning. Still have the deck to clean off tonight. Had to open up the drive back to the propane tank several 1-2 ft drifts in that stretch. Got into the shop about Noon today. Normally when it gets this far in to a day I do not come down but to much to do. In process of repairing one machine and and digging another out of moth balls to take back home. Rest of this week is kinda iffy weather wise, forecast for snow Tue morning rush hour then on and off all week. Not a lot but enough to bring out all the idiots on the Highway. And another storm with high potential for this coming week end.

I got that from me Dad; he use to talk about some place or the other just being a wide spot in the road.
