Let us take a moment and think upon the Men, Women and Children who perished today, 22 years ago right about this time of the day!!! :( :usa: If you have a prayer, please send it, if not please remember these folks who didn't deserve this!

God Bless all the first responders who were so brave to run into the storm and not return! :salute::(

We will be doing the Tunnel to Towers run again this year. This year I am taking my 12yr old daughter with us, I want her to experience it, it's truly an electric atmosphere. I just hope our old arses can keep up with her, lol!

May JESUS continue to give peace to the families that lost loved ones on that day.

Many of us will never forget 9/11 and the events that unfolded afterwards (although it is obvious too many have). And I have the utmost respect for all who made sacrifices, no matter what service branch or local/state/federal agency, military or civilian, first responder or family member, and the families who lost loved ones on 9/11.

I have vivid memories of that day. I remember being at work when it happened, and time seemed to stop. They broadcasted the live news over the loudspeakers and we all just stood there for hours listening solemnly, not knowing what was coming next or when it was going to end. The towers, the pentagon, flight 93 in Pennsylvania... Everything changed that day. In the days, weeks, and months afterwards there was this huge feeling of unity here. It's a shame that that's what it took to bring us all together.

A couple days after 9/11/01 my ex wife asked that evening if we could watch something other than the news. I said no,
this is history! We separated in April 02, my idea. It was long overdue.

I don't know how someone could not see the significance and just tune out like that. This was the Pearl Harbor of modern times. I was a senior in high school when it happened, and in spite of being "just a kid" knew I was witnessing a major historical event.

My wife was providing child care for our pastor and my wife had to explain to him that terrorism had come to the shores of this country.

Yes, I remember that day well. I had lost my dad in June that year in a terrible auto accident right in front of his woodworking shop. I was down there working on orders he had, when a cousin stopped by and told me the news. Felt like the world stopped.

I was plowing a field in North Dakota. Within 5 months I’d be on the first of several deployments and gone for 27 of 36 months.

Imagine him strutting in there telling them all about how bad he had it, how everything was a violation of his human rights. They probably just smiled, assured him they understood his plight and hauled him off to solitary confinement. But who knows? Rocketman must’ve been foaming at the mouth when that kid came along. He’s a potentially powerful propaganda tool to hedge against any discontent within the population.
