Oh yea it gets real, real fast. This year I’ve bought a 461 and a 7x14 dump trailer. And that’s after I’m well beyond my 3yr plan. I keep thinking of selling firewood but, that’s like giving up a piece of me. “Hi my name is Brad and I’m an firewood hoarder.”
I remember when I joined. I was just a completely normal guy off the street. Yes sir, COMPLETELY normal. Just enjoying life and not a care in the world. Then a bunch of chainsaw yielding hooligans/members jumped me in a dark alley and the next thing I knew I was reciting BTU charts, buying unneeded equipment, and telling family and friends I need more firewood “just in case”.
When I found you guys I was researching the possibility of purchasing my second saw and I probably had a little bit of firewood on hand. (Probably something like a 1/2 a pickup box of recently cut up dead elm) Now I think I have 12 saws and last night after dark I split and stacked a heaping pickup load of wood. I’m pretty sure I have enough wood to make a 3 year plan if I can get it all processed. Also, I now have a full sized wood chipper and am trying to get ownership of a bucket truck! MY, HOW THINGS HAVE CHANGED!!! Oh!, and I am constantly shopping for a dump truck, and used saws
Jeez… I haven’t even touched a piece of wood yet with the new saw… field box so far for the saws. 2-in-1 sharpeners for 3/8 and 3/8P chains. How the heck did we do this so many years without one of these.. This is the chain for the 180 Picco. Green was done already and you can see from the red, how much the height gauges are being taken down.
