The store sells more because the customer doesn't have cash in the pocket spending limit.
Retailers figured out real fast that the credit card fee per transaction is nothing compared to the increase in sales when credit cards were accepted

If you believe that then we're simply delaying the inevitable...and sooner or later we'll be in even bigger trouble!

where do you think the economy would be ? Im not condoning it....im just tellin you how it is. With the population the way it is n technology taking jobs away......if EVERYBODY was frugal n only got was they needed or was necessary.....the economy would slow to nothing....unemployment would be at an all time high......its really common sense

erm, we'd still be collecting S&H green stamps.
Everyone is out to make a buck one way or another. CC are just a way to make a buck writing checks or handling the transfer of money. We would be transferring money somehow someway.

Not to be political, but imagine what things would be like if the federal government had to have a balanced budget every year?

Ok....I went from page 1 to page 11 so I missed gobs....but did anyone mention hanging laundry outside to air dry...or even inside to dry in winter...adds humidity and I don't need clean jeans for 2 more days anyway. Oh and my nonfrugel sister was over in her 2019 ford f150 pickup she just got for 50k....I could feel the acid boil in my stomach....but that fresh smell from outdoor drying is priceless....I buy a big jug of "La Awesome" laundry detergent for a buck

That is how laundry is usually done here and has been for years. We do have a dryer but rarely does it get used for drying. Occasionally wife will use it to fluff up a few things but the main drying is done compliments of Mother Nature.

Cook at home instead of hitting restaurants (don't remember if that's been mentioned). We meet up with 3 other couples once or twice a month for Friday fish fry though.
