I don’t see it often, but looks like thornless honey locust. It’s disease prone in my area. A Wendy’s a few miles from me is surrounded with dead and dying thornless honey locust.

That looks exactly like the Honey Locust all over my town. Schools, downtown streets, the retirement homes...
I’d like to know which cultivar it is in particular. Sunburst, Shademaster, whatever it is. Nice looking trees.

I planted a sunburst in the backyard. Ended up dyeing, but the roots re-sprouted. Now have multiple trunks and I need to do a bunch of pruning on it one of these days.

They seemed to be pretty good trees to plant other then the big banana shaped seed pouches they drop . Pretty hardy, grows effectively, nice shape if pruned right, never heard of a major disease/envision that kills it and of course makes great makes great firewood

    What’s not to like?

I’ve been doing a little reading. Looks like a decent tree to plant in the back 40. Small clearing back there the women are considering planting trees in. I’d go with the thornless hybrid. It’s said the wildlife likes to eat the pods as they taste like honey.

The Wendy's in town used to have one at the drive thru serving window shading the window from morning sun. I'll have to see if it is still there on the way to Home Depot. They re-clad the store but from the street all the landscaping looks the same.

You got a boatload of it from that nice score earlier this year. That was some nice wood!

Cash Larue knocks on restaurant door...
"Hello, Wendy's management. I see you have a bunch of dead Honey Locust trees surrounding your property. Can I come help you out with those?"
