I grabbed a loaf of bread from the top of the microwave and was surprised at how warm it was. I’ve been running the stove a bit warmer than usual today because I’m working on the computer on the other side of the house, but was still surprised. The bread is 14’ 8” from the stove. Time to quantify. First pic is in one side of a drawer, below the bread, in the line of sight of the stove. Second pic is the other side of the same drawer, but in a “shadow” from the stove. Radiant heat.
It came from the grocery store, so is probably good for a few more weeks? I've followed the vertical temperature differences in the stove room, but hadn't seen such a clear difference, particularly at that distance, due to the radiant heat.
