Additional.....later today met the land owner having timbering done which I pass every morning and evening on the way to the salt mine and we got to talking. I asked about the 12 inch and smaller tops laying near the road making me salivate as I pass and he said go for it....he'd usually ask for that dang form but he know me.....no where to put the goodies!
Update on the golf course situation. I've turned in my hold harmless form and got the tour yesterday. They have timbered as well all over the course. A forestry agent oversaw the proceedure to keep it controlled and less of the mess most timbering results in. The goodies are endless. Plus more trees will be taken down to widen fairways and to remove the diseased. So here we go...I may sell some of my ratty stock and replace with this premo stuff. Anyone near enough in need? No city boys need apply!
Myself and a friend did that tour about 7 years ago - score of a lifetime- good luck and carry on. Wish I was closer I would help you. As you said where to go with it all. Maybe you could make a deal with a farmer for space in a back forty or perhaps something similar .
