How sweet of you to ask me that! There's nothing here to hide A friend did call We had a ball We took it all in stride This friend is great He cuts wood too He lives a ways away He really needs a local girl That's all I have to say So thanks for all the fun and laughs Let's smile and let it be It really makes me feel real good When you thought the answer was me!
Distance is a factor for this FHC guy and me but I think we're going to chop our way through it. A couple initial misconstrued issues may be resolved....can't keep a good man down they say.....or woman!
Been conversing with FHC man....planning another meeting. In the meantime I'm up one truck load of wood on him
Nice load. And, yet another pic of a yard with absolutely no snow!!!!!! Don't you folks feel the least bit guilty?
We are f.a.r. from done with snow! I think it's hilarious that folks are moving into "spring mode" already....wearing shorts....motorcycling....raking yards....putting the snow shovel away....soon it will be like this again
The ice is breaking up on Erie. Any storm we get now will hammer us with lake effect. Thaws stink when you have a gravel drive and most of your plow accounts are gravel. Although this year was better than last. I had several snows after I had a base to plow against. Warm ground and heavy wet snow are a royal pain.
Don't remind me. I shut down the snow plowing this year after 15 years worth. There were 2 inquires as to slip and falls last year ( yes I carried ins, Pricy) - people looking for a pocket to get their hand in- neither had any footing, but that isn't the point- it is stressful on top of everything else- just do not need that kind of hassle or expense of defending. The last couple years haven't been particular good on the bottom line for that occupation. Add in equipment maintenance and that a lot of just sits for 1/2 the year while you pay personal property taxes on it. And the you have xyz making beer money undercutting prices and carrying no ins. De-icing agents that have double in price over the last few years as well. Sure is nice to sit in the back room and not have to worry about pushing snow around , what is going to break, getting stuck or some idiot slamming into you and the list goes on. Funny my helper was just commenting on this subject the other day- seems he got all worked up with first storm - even woke up early and then realized he could crash for a couple more hours, we had a good laugh. My Ibuprofrin bill is way down also.
I protest...unless you are concerned as to how my new FHC friend will make it to my place through all the snow and you are volunteering to clear the way....then this thread has been
One needy person bitshing per thread. Sorry. The OP is looking for a baggage-free piece of meat. Not commiserating with others.
This Friday I will be meeting for the second time my FHC member friend near Pittsburgh. Anyone familiar with good places to go in the area particularly southwest of the city? Good eats?
