I find pine tongue in groove to be most attractive .....thinking of a permanent installation here at the house....
So Wild Wild West here, not Wild West! So, hmmmm Oak is hearty, strong, and long lasting. I guess a spicy, polish sausage, pole, would provide the heat and burning rythm. Happy G-Day. Oops typo, T-Day!
For lasting all night..... Oak is good, but leaves no ashes to self-bank. I find it will last all night but burn so cleanly that it is difficult to re-light a fresh load. Ash logs (which is my primary wood) seems to last longer than oak because it turns to ash and slows down the burning somewhat.
What a strange situation....had to let a guy down easy tonight and one that previously got the same treatment begged to come back...in one door out the other....if it don't gel it ain't aspic (thanks Psycho)
"In a case of your wood lasting longer than 4 hours, please contact your doctor....................or look at Chelsea Clinton." In all honesty; if'n my wood doesn't last longer than 4 hours, I'm contacting a doctor!!
I LOVE the BIG "O"-- once you go there you want to go all the time---problem is no one to take me....
What I was thinking or some say Iron wood is good too go for the long distance... But with Hedge you just have watch out for the flying sparks... noted as Fire Bugs...
Someone has to toss that picture into the "Wood Pile" section and ask what kind of "wood" that it is!!!! Tree looks neutered though............
