Yes it does. Especially if you are going backwards while trying to go uphill.

I've found that even full size ATVs have difficulty getting into the tight spots between trees compared to the 3/4 size bayou. A much bigger SXS would be nice for increased capacity, but would present issues with manuverability.

IDK Tim.. $2k sale on that hauler would be a nice down payment on a side-by.

    Just sayin..

But then again.. You have to take material cost out in order to determine true profit/labor rate.

    Darn math.

    Making hinges for the tailgate.
My plan is to make the gate swing left, right and down like a traditional gate.

If I were going to be future owner, I would hand you a couple Benjamin’s and ask you to keep tinkering :D:yes: great ideas

I think you have already cut the sides down, but if you haven't. The top of the side (where it is vertical) cut all of them in half and put a smaller size tube inside and weld so you could take the top half off (like sideboards on a flat bed or stock racks on a pickup). When loading or unloading you can work with the top off and then when you "top off" the load it is with the top halves back on. (clear as mud?).

Heavy expanded metal with those 3/4" horse trailer mats would be a good option.

I used to pull a 4x8 harbor freight trailer with 24" side walls...stacked with hedge...on those pizza cutter tires through the woods with my quad. It kinda sucked but was do-able. This thing should pull like a dream compared to that. I would stay the course and try it out.

Or have the sides fold down... Leave the front fixed height and pin the sides to that when in the up position.
