It's been mid 40's and raining here since last night. Perfect night for some venison vegetable soup.

Here's the recipe if anyone wants to try it. Easily one of my favorite soups to make. Ya can't have just one bowl. Recipe is for the instapot pressure cooker.

I like to add about 3-4 chopped carrots as well .

The one thing my wife didn’t want for Christmas was an instapot.
I’m interested. My mother used a pressure cooker all the time.

Anyway, she got one for Christmas and it’s been the joke in the house. I can see it now sitting in its box at the bottom of the stairs across the house.

As I sit across from my wife.

I presented this post as Exhibit A!

I’m opening that baby up...maybe some soup to watch the Pats by tomorrow night!

    Thanks Smokinpiney !

M2theB my FIL had one and raved about it. I had a few meals that he cooked in his and I was hooked. He got us one for Christmas last year. I use it all the time! I've cooked ribs, sausage peppers and onions, stews , soups, pulled pork and chicken ,etc. Some meals turn out better than others but where i think it really shines is soups. This soup for instance, tastes like it's been cooked all day but it actually took all of 45 mins.

My dad taught me a truck years ago for most soups- when cooking throw whole stalks of celery in. When done cooking, remove the stalks and toss them out. It really adds a nice flavor.
