Just thought I'd post some numbers! 122 lbs of wood at 15 % moisture content at 6,900 btus per lb equals 841,800 btus possible heat generated. 1,045 imperial gallons of storage raised from 125F to 195F on the top gauge and 106F to 173F on the bottom gauge. Plus the house draw on the storage of 105,000 btus during the 6 hour batch burn. Equals 775,000 btus to storage or 92% efficient?
Man, that has to make you feel pretty good about your decision to swap out for this machine. My dad and brother decided to swap out their 20 year old Central Boiler that heats the 2 houses and 2 shops on the home farm...fortunately they took my advice and went with a HeatMaster G10000...pretty sure they are still in a state of shock the difference...it is about like comparing the Flintstone mobile with a Tesla though...
