She was tired yesterday but really whipped today and slept almost the whole time I was there. Our oldest son came to hospital around 4:00 so I came home to let them have some time together; only one visitor in the room at one time and now only he or I can visit; nobody else can be added even if our son has to leave. Just spoke with son as he is on way home; said mom is about to go back asleep. One possible problem we may have to face is with her heart. Said she has some leaky valves.
Thanks for the update, Thoughts from me and my wife will continue to keep you and Judy at the top of her prayer list!
You guys are in our prayers. Glad to hear that she got to spend some time with her son. Hope the heart valves are minor and put on the back burner for now.
She had a pretty good day except she is getting tired of mall the doctors. Even I can hardly believe how many doctors come around and most ask the same questions. I may be making headway in making them believe some things, like, no, she does not have a heart doctor and never has. No, the diahrea has not been constant; it started with this infection. No, she does not normally have a feeding tube, etc, etc. Again they say she will be moved from icu but is still there. Funny too that one doctor this wants to increase the fluids. Another doctor this afternoon wants to decrease them... So, the frustration continues.
Prayers continued my friend! Been down this road with mom and doctors for years. They are very siloed, often don't communicate so you often get conflicting information. Hang in there they will eventually collaborate.
Glad to hear she had a good day. She still eating solids every day? When I went in last time I had a "team" assigned to me. A cardiologist, one internal medicine, and a family doctor. Did repeat myself many times.
She had a bad day yesterday. Was sick to her stomach when I got there. It was not a good day. They did move her from icu. One of the worst things when you have to be in a room with someone else is the danged tv. Other lady wanted it on all the time I guess she did finally turn it off but after midnight so Judy did not get much sleep. She did make up for it some because she mostly slept while I was there. But that too could be bad. Was she able to sleep last night or lay there awake all night?
Poor Judy, maybe some earplugs or noise cancelling headphones would help? Bad enough being sick, let alone having to listen to bad TV.
Good luck with all this Sav. I know those crap tv's in the hospitals have plug-ins for headphones, so maybe just ask the lady to stick a pair on.
That lady went home so she was alone last night and today. Myson just called and she has another roommate but so far no noise. Judy had a better day today. Probably will have a scope Monday then map out a plan of action after that.
