Thank you everyone!!!! I just spoke to her nurse. She is expected to be moved out of ICU today. Good news. I'm about to leave and head to the big city.
Dennis my experience with my dad over his last 6 months was hard. Like Judy and yourself, he wanted nothing to do with nursing homes. Unfortunately, once he was not able to walk, I didn't have a choice. I couldn't imagine doing that doing the pandemic. I truly feel for you in this. A Prayer for Healing Sick Family and Friends Lord Jesus, thank you that you love Judy. I know that you hate what their illness is doing to them. I ask that you would heal this disease, that you would have compassion and bring healing from all sickness. Your word says in Psalm 107:19-20 that when we call out to you the Eternal one you will give the order, heal and rescue us from certain death. In the Bible, I have read of miraculous healing and I believe that you still heal the same way today. I believe that there is no illness you cannot heal after all the bible tells of you raising people from the dead so I ask for your healing in this situation. I also know from my experience of life on earth that not everyone is healed. If that happens here than keep Dennis's heart soft towards you, help him to understand your plan and help him to be excited about heaven. God, I thank you that Judy belongs to you and that you are in control of everything that happens from our first breath to our last sigh. Amen Jason fron RI
I was able to feed her some real food and she did well. I expect to see her moved out of icu when I get there today as they didn't get her moved before I left. I'm going there a little late as I have to go to bank. Geeze I'm not used to breaking the bank just to park the car for a few hours... I may look around to see if I can find somewhere else to park but not sure; maybe a long walk and not too sure about the city folk. Druggies and whores all over the place around there. Sometimes right at the door to the hospital. But the big thing is Judy is improving nicely and hopefully we'll have our life back to normal very soon.
Feeding tubes generally stay in for a while, they used to get a daily flush with a cola. My Aunt had one after her stomach surgery.
Room temp cola. I told Backwoods Savage about it when he said Judy was coming home with a feeding tube. My father had a feeding tube in after his single lung transplant for a while but I don't think we did a daily flush with cola but just incase the tube was blocked. We did flush the line but I don't recall what we used, time to call one of my sisters.
