Just goes to show ya the best never rest.

 

This guy lives and I was reading a story about a 13 year old boy who recently died in a skiing accident up this way. You certainly don't expect to die during a day of skiing.

Life is can be funny or unfunny like that. Just a reminder that time, not money or materials, is our most precious commodity. Use it wisely.

 

You're so right Dana B ... Our governor McKernan's son, years ago, dropped and died after running on a track... something he did all the time. I think he was 21 and in overall great condition. Had an unknown heart issue. It was his time. Always was impressed with how the Guvnor publicly dealt with such a terrible loss.

 

In the town I live in there are a few things in our youth athletics association that were named after someone. I recently learned the backstory behind it. They were named after a 13 year old boy who had been a very good pop warner QB. By all outward appearances he was a perfectly healthy young boy. One day at school he collapsed during recess and died. There was no definitive cause given but they suspect it had something to do with his heart. Can you imagine getting that phone call as a parent?

My wife is a nurse with elderly people and sees death a lot. I won't say it's no big deal but it's more expected and much easier to deal with when it's an elderly person. You have a shot at life, grow old and die. Your loved ones are sad but it's the natural order of things. When a child dies it's different. People are not only sad but angry. Makes you feel like the child was cheated. It's not supposed to go down like that.

 

Chevy should give him a new truck and use the footage for PR, the guy could be the spokesperson
