Here’s one from a few years ago. I need to take more pics than I do. I took another pic of a red oak about the same time that I’m sure is in one of my other posts where the middle of my hinge pulled fibers out the end of the log that were at least a couple feet long if I remember correctly. Amazing the forces that we contend with when cutting wood!
I have a few dead trees split and leaning that I thought about cutting down. I'll let Mother Nature take care of them after seeing your picture.
Stump cut off from yesterdays red maple i took down. Real awkward tree in a clump of six. Couldnt get the saw in to make a good back cut. Had a good lean to where i fell it so i wasnt worried.
Here’s one of mine. Cut this Birch for a neighbor after a snowstorm. It had snapped part of the way up, so it was a bit of a challenge to cut. Not proud of the stump. But as someone who loves pizza, I’m proud of that part of the stump…
A friend gave us 2 post oak trees he let another guy the "needed" some money cut down. He was lucky. The big tree he tried pulling with a rope, which broke, tree fell opposite the notch cut, butt end kicked back way past stump... The top of the tree hit the front of the Chevy stepside in the background. 2 sides of the big stump... The stump from the smaller oak he cut... Looks like an angry beaver was on it... My friend said that guy would definitely not be back.
NOT MY WORK! Stepdaughters BF did it. I was asked but they dint like the fact a bunch of stuff had to be moved to drop it in the direction i wanted.
