I need an ugly Christmas sweater by Sat. I don't even own a "pretty" one. I have to hit 3 parties on Sat., all with the "ugly sweater" theme. I don't get it. If it was hot out, I'd go bare-chested- that would teach 'em.
99 lbs always says something like that..."why did you take a shower with that sweater on?" Or "Remember to take off your sweater before you go in the lake!" I told her that would be my ugly sweater for any such party!!
Yeah, around April I tease the wife about showering with her "leg-warmers" on. Don't tell her I said that.
A girlfriend and I have been trying to find cheap Ugly sweaters. Now that they are trendy, some start at $60! For an ugly sweater that we will wear once or twice! Crazy. Kohl's has the Christmas Vacation moosehead cups and we are waiting for discounts to pick those bad boys up.
Find a cheap shirt or sweatshirt, use a hot glue gun to attach felt (or other material) that are cut it in xmas shapes, tree, ornamament, snowman. You could even cut them really really bad thenglue them on so yours is the ugliest. Just an idea
I also have one of those Crazy Christmas party and a ugly sweater is just seen as entry level. I managed to find one at our local discouter for $10, for more than that the fun quickly disappears. I had a colleague a few years back that basically just walked in with his skiing kit, including the boots and sunglasses. This is also a good option but might be a bit hot.
Last year I printed a picture and ironed it onto a white sweatshirt for our ugly sweater party. It was a picture of my wife....I told everyone it was the ugliest thing I could think of! I'm VERY lucky that my wife has a great sense of humor! I'll probably make one as well for this year. Or dress like "Cousin Eddy" from Christmas Vacation with the white v-neck sweater and black dicky. It used to be you could to to Goodwill pick one up and ugly sweater for $2.00, but now that it's trendy you can't find them. People buy them and flip them on eBay!
Someone's UGLY sweater could be a priceless sweater to another. Everyone has their own ideas on ugly!!!
I always see the ugly sweaters in stores next to the fruit cakes, light up ties and the mistletoe on a stick headbands.
Haven't been able to find a sweater so I went with a shirt. The snowflakes are sparkly but the bling doesn't show up in the pic.
