WeldrDave That was a good day when the two of you were here. There is more of that waiting for you whenever you head back in this direction.
We hope to by sometime next year. Chrissy and I need to get over to the Black river, her Father was a huge fan of that area for hunting and nature walks. She has some of his cremation remains needs to be respectfully placed in a certain area. Then we'll pay visits to all our friends and relatives out there.
So today’s project was not in the woods, it was in my driveway. I started the paint burn in process on my new Drolet Escape 1800. Better out there than in the living room. I have two wheelbarrows full of junk campfire wood that I will use. I let it hit 700 degrees F briefly today tomorrow I will burn a longer yet slight cooler fire perhaps 650.
notice how I juxtaposed my former heat source provider in the background of my future heat provider ?
Very, very smart!!! I once knew a guy, who knew a guy, who warned him not to paint his stove and install it before doing that! And, he did.... The house stunk for two years and the fire dept didn't think it was a funny prank when his wife called them thinking his house was burning inside because all the smoke was coming out the windows...
I picked up a hearth pad the other day. Now my son is in Las Vegas for a week. So these two items will remain un connected for a little while longer. Son and his buds are going to help me move stove into house,,
Made the last connection with a DuraVent adjustable double wall with two 45’s should be good for cold weather. I have a little over 2.5 cords of oak, elm, locust, and cherry stashed in the garage and basement. It all measures under 20% with a moisture meter I am ready!
Very nice hoard... Wood looks good and dry. Glad to see you brought the stove inside, they heat way better inside than out.... I learned the hard way.
Ha, I am a hoarder. I got a pile of oak in the shed bout 4-5 cords and a pile CSS in my woods on pallets that makes this pile in shed look small hoard on
