It has been a long winter here in Wisconsin. I hate ripping up the trails in my woods so today things were finally drying out so I went at it. Put a new chain on the Stihl and a fresh sharpened one on the Husky. Got a small jag of red oak and cherry bucked. It felt GREAT to be back in da woods. I am getting a class A chimney soon and this is parked in the garage so I am out of the firewood for sale business. I am keeping it for myself and my Vietnam Vet buddy
I got my work cut out for me tomorrow. I pick up 100 bare root Oak seedlings from the county at 600am. I got two dibble bars in the shed who wants to come over and use one? Bring a rain coat spose to rain I don’t care the little buggers are going in the ground rain or shine!

125 bare root trees have planted in my woods and bro in law woods. And now they are getting 5-8 inches of snow on ‘em. My dad called April snow poor mans fertilizer because as soon as it melts everything greens up!

It has power steering, independent rear suspension and a locking front dif all things my Rancher did not have. That power steering is the cat’s arse in the woods on rough trails pulling a load
Nice new ride ole Our Kingquad doesn't have power steering, but otherwise it's a very solid machine. One thing I really like about it compared to newer quads is that it has a recoil start on it. Most newer machines are electric start only. Impressive stacking you do. Definitely a good read.

I am three years out-have 8 cords cut split stacked outside That is assuming I will burn 4 cords a year that is a big unknown
Finally got the oak that had been over my woods trail mostly cut up. It uprooted itself a number of years ago and this spring finally sagged down enough where I couldn't drive under it. The trunk gave me 38 16" blocks. Nice straight tree and it held itself off the ground for most of the cutting. I still have a lot of the top of the tree to cut up. Diameter of the final cut at the stump was 22 inches. WeldrDave , this is the oak you and Chrissy walked under when you were here a few years ago It is nice to have a 50 foot straight piece of oak off the ground to cut.
I may have to wait until one of our sons gets down here to help me get that split and stacked. They are too heavy for me to lift but being oak they should split in half or quarters.
That's a "Beauty"!!! I have a 2014 Rancher and just love the thing. I love the color also of yours! I have the Pumpkin orange color! I bought it so I could find it after a few.... . But I wouldn't drive it!!! Just wanted to know where I'd left it.
