I unchecked the box in my personal preferences but my email is still getting piled up with thread notifications. Any way i can stop this??
I see that its down to just that one welcome thread sending emails after I changed preferences. I wonder what is different about that one....
I turned off notification emails in 2 spots. Seems like it takes a day out two to catch up. We'll keep an eye on it.
I have tried to take email notes off, but they keep coming. Really don't want all the trash in the mail. Where is that box to check/uncheck located?
There is 2 spots I know of- click your name top right of screen, then preferences and adjust the settings in there. Hold on ill look for the other spot.
I unchecked that box under "options" already. I also found an area where you can alter alerts on many levels, but alerts would seem to refer to the alert tag on the toolbar.
Click your name again, then Contact details, go to messaging preferences, un check recieve email when a new conversation message is recieved. (This isn't watched threads, but convo email). Like I said earlier, I was going through the same problem, and after messing with the preferences, it took 2 days until it stopped sending emails. If not fixed in the next day, ill get u technical support.
The above options only work with future subscriptions. To stop receiving emails from a thread you are already subscribed to, go to the thread and click "unwatch thread" in the top right. If you still want to receive updates, just not emails, go ahead and then watch the thread again, ensuring that the emails option is unchecked.
