    yes, albeit I had the camera pointed "down" too far on the "test ride". Turns out the evidence is quite clear as to what happened, too. I was travelling around 45mph when the left ski (the ski OPPOSITE of the one I just repaired) came loose and turned 90 degrees on me. Threw me over and the sled flipped around 3-4 times (once directly on my back) before coming to rest. A broken ski bolt was the culprit. I'll share the vid when I get my replacement phone (hopefully tomorrow).

    Live and learn. Had I not had that hardhat on, it'd probably have killed me. something sharp hit my head.......which trashed the phone....
    The Big Man was watchin' out for me that afternoon for sure....and I thanked him many times for it already....

    I was SORE Tuesday. Not so bad, now. but I've got some dandy bruises on my back, on my rump, and I think I may have fractured a rib or two. Didn't miss any work, and learned a valuable lesson from the incident (do an inspection when you get the sled out!!).

    Gassy, it will record til the battery dies. Or till you run out of drive space. This camera will work excellently when running the splitter, when bucking firewood, when climbing and piecing down the trees we do.......I just took it on the sled to do a demo with it and BAAAAMOOOO......:mad:

    Yep like scotty said you can record till your out of space. Android kicks the iphones but here. 16gig iphone ha!!! My phone is expandable to 64 gig!

    Glad you are okay, Scotty. Yes, you definitely had coverage by someone much greater than insurance companies. We all shouldn't be laughing at your narrow escape but it is hard not to. :D One thing Campinspecter and I learned (sometimes the hard way) that whenever we took out a piece of equipment - plane, sailboat, woodsplitter, vehicle or work machine - a check list of procedures is needed especially if it hasn't been used for awhile. Those who fly know what I am talking about. It is a little stressful to have the cotter pin fall out of the shroud connection for the mast when you are tacking to windward in 40 knt wind and heeled at 25 degrees. Fortunately it happened on the lee side of the mast so the pin was replaced before we had to tack again. Otherwise I don't think I would be here to tell you about it.

    But enough of the serious. When do we see the video? :popcorn:

    Woody, with the chain of events and the less than ideal temps we've had, I'm not going to do it this year.......just too much on my plate. I thought about doing it for a week but I doing all that work for one week. Plus the temps aren't going to work out this week so I canned the plans for making it.

    I do still have 11 gallons of syrup in the basement...;)
