Candied sweet potatoes were a hit this year. If that's what you call the mashed sweet potatoes (the red ones, are they yams?) covered in a layer of smashed cornflakes, pecans, and marshmallows. I never liked this dish before but I had to change my diet a lot this year and the flavors really agreed with me. Loads and loads of turkey. Even going back for seconds. I'm now more of a meat eater and this stuff is a great filler. Gravy on top if needed for moisture. No leftovers. Just half of a plain white costco cheesecake that seems to have disappeared the next day sometime before lunch.
I've had at least 4 of the major brands of mayo. I like 'em all! (Plus, blue cheese dressing from Hoss' (Ken's) and my own home made veggie dip (made with sour cream and mayo ) Dad always used miracle whip, mom always used hellmans. I liked mw but switched to mayo. Everything from kraft (salad dressings) seems to have a chemical taste.
Oh, i forgot to mention our family has been makin cranberry relish for eons. Cranberries Apples Oranges Sugar. Simple and tasty! No canned, gelatinous goo ....
