I had a woman bring in a little table with some rather crappy welds broken. Her husband told her that it wasn't a big deal.....all they gotta do is. She said can you fix the cracks and match the paint ???? I'd really like it fixed...Walmart wants $19 dollars for a new one. Almost had a aneurism trying to be polite.

A simple "tune" (twisting the lo-hi screws and checking the throttle) should be a courtesy at any shop, IMO. Now if that doesn't correct the issues, and the carb needs overhauled, air filter or fuel filter changed, spark plug replaced, spark arrestor cleaned, etc.....I can see some costs adding up there for parts/labor....

Some shops consider a tune-up to be that entire list above, some don't. So make sure you ask for a breakdown of the work/parts required and you'll know exactly what to expect.
