Not to brag but I am a very good cook ;) And usually do the cooking. It's the dishes that I am terrible at

It is called a dishwasher and everyone can learn to load it. Of course, I am spoilt as we have LOTS of hot water due to the heating system Campinspecter has created. With my knee injury, the wheelchair was the best thing. Can you get your hands on one? We found out that our house was mostly wheelchair accessible - if all the doors were off the bathroom, bedroom and especially the computer room.

Great news she is walking without the crutches today. Well kinda anyway ! Mrs Pallet Pete got up walked around for a bit Monday then her leg swelled up really bad and she had to sit down. She is moving around today better but not very much at a time. Still it's progress .

Forget about the house work. Yes it will pile up, but first things first. We went though the knee replacement thing three times. One of her replacements got infected so they removed it for three months then she got a new one. Iv meds at home for 2 months. I have a license so I took care of her and. the house, pets and yard, also worked three day a week. I promised no nursing home. For three years, in and out of the hospital 6 times, 5 surgeries. But now, she is up and about two years without big problems.
Make sure she does her exercise. That is the most important part of knee recovery.

I just saw this thread and am wishing you guys and especially Mrs. Pallet Pete all the best. I had a total know replacement in 09 and significant rotator cuff surgery last year in Late Sept. (you should have seen me feed the stove one handed) which resulted in PT all the way through to February, some of those things are longer recoveries than others.

Every recovery is different, but ACLs and all that stuff tend to be long rehabs and it can get depressing waiting for it to all get better.
Like everyone else said, do the exercises but don't beat yourself up if you need a break, then take one.

sincerely hope all is going well,

    Steve
