The other day I got an email from TSC (I'm in the friends and family network), and they are offering their regular $10 off - plus an extra $15/ton for prebuy - and they will hold until Sept. 30. You only have to put 25% down and then pay the rest upon pick up. I assume my store will be receiving their usual MWP bagged for TSC. Now if they only delivered that would be a perfect deal. as it is, I'll be reserving at least 2 tons, maybe 3.

The truck will be getting a workout in the not to distant future.

Oh, and those that burn wood bricks or coal, they also have a deal for you

I called my local TSC and they said the layaway ends Sept. 2, meaning you need to pick them up by Sept. 2
Would be nice to pick them up at a later date.

Today I'm checking which ones they have available, hoping for the softwoods....

My flyer said specifically pick up by Sept. 30, but your area could be different. So far my TSC has the MWP hardwood blend that they usually carry.

You're buying the MWP cheaper than Larry and I can buy them and I'm only 40 miles from the mill.

That is funny because I complain that people can buy NEWPs cheaper than I can - and I live 15-20 miles from that plant. Not that I really want NEWPS, when I can get MWPs.

Im always leery when I see sales such as "$50 off" with no price attached. Im always wondering if its an inflated beginning price.....

Yeah, I made sure I asked the final price the week before I put them on lay-away and the sale price was $224.50 . That means the regular price per ton hasn't changed since last year. I'll probably pick up another of my lay-awayed tons tomorrow.

Be sure you are getting the MWPs you want. The ones down here in northeast Mass are Curran’s ......

I always do - I have the code memorized :D. I worry more about getting NEWPs as a substitute around here.

Yes, MWP's. I did get one ton that was fairly ashy last winter, but that was unusual in my experience. And even ashy MWPs are better than a lot of other choices I have locally (and at a better price).

If those are the same as the ones I bought last season, I don't think I want them, too ashy...!!!!!

    Softwood way much better.

Put a ton of TSC pellets on layaway during the $224.50 special deal. Drove through there today and saw that they have LOADS of GS on the ground, both in the caged area and out back behind the building. They are in GS bags - not the standard blue and white TSC bags. Hmm. Starting to get a little concerned. Need the MWPs. Just gonna have to take a wait and see approach here, but based on how much GS they have on the ground, I’m suspecting it could very well be past the 9/30 pickup deadline before any MWPs arrive, and that’s “if” they arrive.

Sub and I both pay $239 a ton/ MWP delivered. They put the pellets right where I want them in the garage. They are great to talk with. Really good folks and very hard working. I am in no condition to be moving pellets around. My son brings them to my door and sometimes he loads the stove also.

Hope they get some in soon for you!

I grabbed another ton of pellets I had on layaway and my local TSC only has the MWP's - got lots of them too. Leaves one more ton I have to pick up - maybe tomorrow, maybe next week. I'm trying to figure out where to put them. My current car is longer and wider than my previous car so it will be super tight in the garage if I try to put them there. Have room in the tent garage, but one side would be open to the weather so would need to be able to protect that.
