Same here, but my pellet house in N Berwick sells about 200 ton of DF per season so someone is buying them.
I mean if they were like 330-350 I would but I know lost as asking way more then that. Easy blaze super premiums here are like 320 a ton. Same as okie platniums
I have heard good things about them. I was thinking about it. The only guy around here has them for $320 a ton same as okie platinum.
Ouch. At those prices for good wood pellets, what is heating oil, ng or propane selling for? I guess 249 for Chow isnt bad for your area. What other options/pricing do you have?
I also think there are two versions of Nature's Own, one from Penn the other from Canada. I could be mistaken with all this......there is too much bagging and rebagging to keep track!
Yup and it's a good reason to just buy a brand where you know what product you are getting. No aggregator "mill of the week" or off brand guessing games to deal with.
BINGO. I have stayed with LaCrete or Spruce Pointe for this reason. Always have several ton of known good stuff for the cold months and if you wish you can play the pellet lottery to save $$ during shoulder months.
FWIW, we're currently burning TSC bagged energex hardwood pellets in bags dated 09-13 and they are performing well.
I've had pretty good luck with about everything Enegex has produced. Even though the stove chows have a old UPC, The rest all pretty much lead us to Energex or Premiers(which is easy to figure out its a Energex spin off)...... I got 2 plus tons of NO's last season and half were from PA and the rest was CA..... Could hardly tell the difference without using the microscope. Currently staying clear of anything that has a UPC that leads us to a UPC broker or is totally MIA..................
The Stove Chows I tested put real good heat out of my stove, one thing though is that they seemed to leave a small clinker in the burn pot, real black ash.... I would buy them, actually going back to Home Depot for more....yes I have not purchased my stash for winter...
Two tons of Chow on the way this weekend. I'll report back once I've put a few bags through the stove.
