Some nice choices you have there , but IMO some of that stuff is way over priced the AWF's both the hard and the softies have been available at Lowe's for $ 50 / ton less here in the Pocono's .
Anyway from the UPC to know which plant it is coming from? Again, preliminary test but the Green Supreme seem to work fine in this Napoleon unit, although just overnight run.
Yeah around here all I have is tractor supply (which I have looked up and are newp) stove chow, green supreme, curran, Allegheny and a few others. Can’t really buy any high end pellets except through the guy I showed in the pics.
I hear ya man not many pellet houses down here Joe from Bucks Pellets is the guy down here a real good dude , who has always been good to my buddy Steve and I , he turned us on to several of the brands you posted in the pic . A few mom and pop stove shops have 1 or 2 of the better pellets , but that's about it .
My stove had some left over Green Supreme and yesterday I bought 2 bags of Stove Chow, added a full bag to the stove and turned it on last night around 10pm. Burning very nice and real hot..... Does anyone know where the Stove Chow is made this year and what brand is it really? The bag says "Premier Pellet Corporation", Pennsylvania. UPC Code 7 53252 00001 3 .
I think Premier Pellet is owned by Energex. The Stove Chow was made in Pennsylvania and Fireside Ultra are made in Quebec.
Fireside reference was for how they burned. Decent heat, dark ash but not overly too much ash. Not a bad pellet if price is right.
My understanding as well. Stove Chow is produced in PA. Same product you will find in a bag labeled Energex American. Fireside Ultras are the blend produced in Canada and are the same product you will find in a bag labeled Energex Premium.
think i posted that i burned 2 tons each of chows and energex and absolutley No difference except price. so i'm convinced that chows are energex Hardwood pellets re-bagged for distribution to BBS's as the one and only, often mis-understood and beaten up at times Stove chows.. I paid exact same price for EasyBlaze super premo's as the HD price here for chows..249.00..
Yeah i paid 249 for a ton of chows. 2 bags had a little bit of water damage but only in the one corner so I still salvaged like 3/4 of the bags. Not gonna lie I kinda like the way they burn. Not as hot as the blazers I have but still pretty good. Wasn’t to impressed with blazers really. Wish I could find a local place to get okie firs. I would pay good money for a ton of those. I usually burn like maybe 3 ton. So I have a ton of chows and like 20-25 bags of blazers left over.
