We were touched by an Angel last week when our newborn grand daughter passed about an hour after birth. Although there were no complications during pregnancy and she was full term at 8lbs 4oz. her heart just couldn't sustained her. This was just one week after my father in law was diagnosed with liver and pancreatic cancer. My wife is just starting radiation treatments for breast cancer after going through chemotherapy and a double mastectomy. This just hasn't been our year to say the least. Gary
Gary, I'm sorry for your sad news. I remember chatting with you about 4 weeks ago when my mother was having surgery, you helped me out when I was on the forum in the waiting room. Thank you again.
I cannot begin to imagine what you are going through right now. I struggle with my religious beliefs, but I believe that we can all share in your pain and help lighten your load.
Condolences and prayers from us here Gary. May you and your family find strength and peace at this time.
Prayers being offered for you and yours, Gary. I don't know why, but this has been a very trying year for so many good people we know, and our family has been through a lot this year too. Without "keeping the Faith," I don't know how any of us would deal with life.
Very sorry to read your post Gary. I hope you can find your strength as those around you need lots of love delivered in high doses. Take care.
Gary I won't pretend to understand or say that I do. We live in a broken world that was not God's plan but he did make a way to fix it. As I said, I don't understand but just possibly your little angel would have had trouble down the road is why he chose to take her home now. I'll keep you in my prayers as well as your bride and father in law. Keep the faith so you can spend time with her again some day, she is in the arms of a loving heavenly father.
Gary, my heart goes out to you and yours. It is very understandable that you are struggling to keep the faith. However, regardless of what some say, I can not believe it was the Lord that took that child. We must remember that there is an evil force loose in this world and most of us call it Satan. It is he that causes bad things like this; not the Lord. However, the Lord will accept that child gladly and love her.
So sorry for your loss. My brother lost his son at 10 weeks..went in for an 8 week check-up with no problems...doctors found a heart problem and he passed a week later. Prayers to you and yours.
Gary, so sorry to hear. Heaven definately gained another angel that day. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. We're here for you whenever you need us
This is a troubling thread to read because I feel for you. You and your family will be in my prayers.
Gary I think Dennis may be referring to my statement that the Lord took your grandchild home. Please forgive me for that, maybe a bad choice of words. Allowed her to come home may be better. Dennis is absolutely right God is not behind bad things, but he does allow them for reasons we do not understand, Satan is not God's equal. I do know the bible says He works all things to the good of those who love him. So in my finite mind I was just trying to understand the same as you. That is one of the many questions that we likely will not have answered all the way until we get there ourselves, why does bad things happen to good people. Still praying.
I can't add anything to what the others have said, so I will just offer my condolences and hope that tomorrow is a brighter day.
Many excellent words of faith and expressions of sorrow for the very challenging times you and your family are experiencing. I often recite the 23ed Psalm . It helps me maintain my faith and hope. prayers to you and your family.
