Spent the weekend (only partly Sunday). Getting some rounds split at different spots. The big standing dead ash is mostly split now. It was cut at length to help a friend, as a Christmas gift. I will run it over tomorrow on my way to town. Used the Kubota bucket today to load and haul rounds to level ground for later splitting. Weather turned a bit, so the day was cut short. Spitting snow and temp drop means enjoy YouTube and drink coffee one day soon, a bed loaded ash will be a rare sight
Ash is such great wood. It’s sad to see all of them disappearing thanks to the EAB. Hope they can find a way to make them resistant.
