Of red and pin oak, plus my first ever Mimosa tree, which I might try a bowl with. But have some cutting to do.
Do people turn bowls from mimosa? I have burned it before, it's somewhat of a lightweight. An invasive, that tree is everywhere around here! Kind of hard to get rid of. Hope it is of use!
Much easier to get rid of in the northeast. Bought two and planted them. Grows fast but one good ice/snow storm shreds the branches, bummer. I’ve been wondering lately about it’s decay resistance. Two flush stumps have been in my yard about 15 years. Holding up well it seems.
I've always seen mimosa in a glass, but i guess you could use a bowl!! Bahahaha... Sorry, couldn't help it....I'll show myself out now....
Looks like you have your work cut out once again Greg. Shed has a fair amount of wood in it already. I did a quick search for mimosa bowl images and there are lots of 'em!
