Most if not all of the time, the villagers get the meat. Its the only way they can survive for the most part from what I am told. Between the meat itself and the jobs created in the hunting industry.

What people don't understand is that the hunting of these creatures over there is single handedly responsible for their conservation. Without hunting, their would be no regulations, and little to no critters left.

Elephants, for instance, would all be gone for their ivory. The very select few that get "harvested" are old bulls that the herd has banished. They are no longer welcome to breed, etc and therefore live alone, without the protection of the herd, and die a slow lonely death if not hunted.

Now, back on topic.....HAVE FUN! I'm jealous!

PS...your taxidermist called....his kids thank you for their great Christmas gifts he is already shopping for! :D

I heard on the radio something like an estimated 300,000 elephants have been poached in like the last 10 years in africao_O. I am amazed there still any left!!!

Glad y'all were able to do this. I imagine after all this and the mounts in the future the checkbook is light!!! You sure did knock one off the bucket list early in life!!!

I love sites like this. Allows you to see things and places through others pics that you would not normally ever see or get to do .

    Keep taking pictures.

Your write up is great, very articulate.

We eat the best cuts at camp, had some awesome kudu meat to night wrapped in bacon and feta cheese and cooked over a fire. The rest is all donated of local villages.

I almost brought some but did run into a guy from Michigan that was a great dude. Has a three year supplying firewood and logs chainsaws. He loved the shirt and will, hopefully jump on board.

Had a goo day today, wife didnt get the zebra but we did get close. Had a few come in but couldnt get a shot. She smoked an impala though! after we recovered her animal, actually we watched it drop, we went to another blind and I was able to shoot a blue wildebeast. Its been a great trip so far.

Awesome swags! I went to Africa (not to hunt) and it was incredible just seeing those animals. Also met a family who runs a game reserve in South Africa. Where are you at in Africa?

Glad your having a good time:thumbs: Ive been showing my wife the pics yall put on Facebook and shes not happy with it. She went to Africa last year and went on a safari but only for looking. She has no problem with hunting but she said if yall kill an elephant she will hunt you down and you will not enjoy meeting her:jaw: and trust me that wouldnt be a pleasant meeting she loves elephants. Hope yall have a good trip and your wife gets that striped horse shes after.

Update on the trip, we completed our hunt a few days early and decided to head back home. Just landed this morning and got settled back in. The trip was amazing! We had an amazing time and got to see another part of the world. The place was awesome and we got to see a lot of cool animals. Here are a few more pictures of what we got. I will be putting a video together of the hunt later.
