Woodshed outside. Plus I take the hose to most of the logs before cutting with the saw to get rid of the sand and dirt.

No I don't. Too much work and after sitting in the damp basement all summer it probably picked up a lot of water from the humidity. Now that you mention it, I should have split one and put it to the moisture meter. The first two rows when I'm done will be wood several years old.

Nice work and a nice neat stack Chris. Yes, it is a good time to move wood when you have the time so you can take your time. I'll wait until October to move wood into the barn but we also have a rack on the porch so that will get filled in September because no doubt we'll need heat before October but usually not an overnight fire until later in October.

Very nice stacks. The sooner you get wood in the more time for relaxing.

I changed fixtures in the basement work area to LED that I got from Costco. I think I paid $39.95 a piece. The fluorescent fixtures were no where near as bright as the new LEDs. Plus, my basement can get chilly and the fluorescent bulbs took forever to warm up. The LEDs are instant on.

That's another advantage of the LED, flourescent replacement bulbs, they can be used outside in cold.

I have a bunch of those squiggly CFL's in my old garage and in the winter they take awhile before even starting to give off light. It takes several minutes to get up to full brightness.

Fifth row started, quit around noon again because of the heat. Now I'll start bringing in the older stuff tomorrow morning.
Note I have the dehumidifier set up now.
I figured if I got part of the fourth row in this week it would be a great week. It's turning out gooder than that!

    All finished!

    picture 133.jpg

Now I just have to fill up the small right side of the shed with the wood from
the left side and I can get my next load of logs and try out my new splitter.
    Vertically of course...LOL.

Last two pics for this thread.
Got the rest of the dry wood moved to the small section of the shed. I'll dig in to this when I top up the basement wood in early Dec. or so.
