Tried to buy an Echo CS-361P,

What about Amazon ?

 

Contact Echo directly and tell them you want to buy an Echo chainsaw but because you can't get one in Anchorage Alaska you are now considering a Husqvarna.
I am pretty sure they will do their best to make it right.

Was the first thing I Tried , not ship
Chain saw to Alaska . Can get the models they have in the store, but not the 361p...
....
Try Putting in an Alaska delivery address.

 

Sent an email to Echo 3 weeks ago....
no response .... yet.

Try calling? maybe they can work with your local Home Depot. Just put an extra saw in the shipment. Be sure to let them know if this works, it may be the first of many saws....even if it isn't

 

We see that on Amazon , E bay , and various other sites " do not ship Alaska , or Canada " !!!

 

I didn’t get good vibes from HD that they’d
work with me. They get Echo saws , but not
the one I was after. Wouldn’t waive the Washington sales tax. Wouldn’t order a 361 from echo.
Maybe Echo will come thru, but not hold my breath. AK not a big enough market to worry about customer service issues. It’s always about the $$ . Profit.
May try a phone call, but I’ve tried their customer service route,
talk to a person
