wow that's neat it reminds me of my bike club. our chapter mascot was underdog & we had a stuffed under dog that we passed from member to member. but we had to do it in secret you would come out of a diner or meeting & he would be sitting on your bike.
On Saturday June 8th, 2019, with high security, Midwinter bestowed upon NH mountain man the crown jewel of hoardings' past, present, and future, the FHC traveling sign at the New England G2g! Congratulations to NH mountain man! Hang it with pride!
Thanks Chvymn99 ,JCMC ,Chaz ,and Eric VW . It was truly an honor to receive it. But mostly thanks to Midwinter for bestowing it upon me. And of course without Well Seasoned and Dawn hosting such a great gtg , none of us would have been there to pass anything to anyone. Words cannot convey how surprised I was that it went to me. I am truly blessed to know such fine folks such that are in this club. Again thank you everyone. I'm hoping to get it hung soon and pics will follow. I have a very busy two weeks ahead.
I haven't had a chance to get the hardware to hang the sign yet, and I'm going away for bike week so it'll be a while. Don't worry, my adult son will be home keeping an eye on the sign. So, I figured I'd take a few pics with the sign for the thread.
Yes, it's a Jim Beam bottle in shape of the icon of the Granite state, all 12 bottles on the mantle are part of a 12 yr. sequencetial release. Each one is a place or person in NH. They were released from 1973 from on.
In the close up pic of the stove area, to the left you can see a large cookie, and a small one in front. Those were cut for me by bear 1998 at Well Seasoned 's wicked awesome 2018 gtg. I'm going to do something with them, one of these days..........
Shoulda had the GTG members sign that cookie like we did at walt ’s first GTG and Dennis & Judy’s 2017 GTG....
