Its even worse when you go to look at 1 pup and then 2 of them come around the corner of the house , one leading the other on a leash. Sisters in the avatar. I was sunk. How do you break up a duo like that? That was about 13 years ago , pic is when they were about 1.5. Sadly lost the one on the left to cancer about a year ago.
Chris I am sorry for that I know how the animals become such a big part of our lives dam near tears your heart out when it’s there time
Congrats on the White Oak, and delivered to boot! Don't worry too much about the neighbors, the wood it worth it.
yep, that’s the dirty little secret, that they don’t tell you, when you adopt a pet, they add so much to our Lives, but that day IS going to come, where they absolutely Break yer Heart. “Barney” was my first dog of my own, I got him from the county animal shelter, the most Beautiful Golden Retriever you could imagine, over the years I had at least three breeders approach me out of the blue. I was 19, and had him for 12 years. Mr Bojangles, traveled with his Dog for 15 years, I didn’t have Barney quite that long, Bojangles grieved for 20 years, well I have Bojangles beat there, it’s almost 28 years, and talking about taking Barney to the vet for the last time, still chokes me up, dayumed eyes are getting moist just typing this, I held him to his last breath. I had people tell me that they couldn’t do that, I couldn’t Not do that, there was No way that I could just drop him off, and drive away. He has been gone, more than twice as long as I had him, and I still miss that dog. I have had other dogs since, and loved them, but Barney was that One Best Dog, that some of us are Lucky enough to find Doug
All my previous dogs were my best buddies, miss them all. Each had their own personalities and annoying quirks, but then who doesn't.
Same tree company, different crew, better results? Wife saw them cutting 5 houses down and I left work immediately (only a 10 minute drive home) to inquire. They delivered to the back yard this time rather than the driveway! The boy enjoyed watching the skid steer deliver them. Now I just have to wait for the snow to melt to cut it up.
That’s a Good Lookin Pup. I’m Sorry for your loss, it Hurts, But the Good Times, and Memories, make it worth it. So I don’t derail Another thread, if you go to Scotty Overkill’s thread “Who else got their Wife a pile of rocks for Christmas?” You will see some pics of our “GrandDogter” that you might enjoy I do have a Bad habit of causing some thread drift, but how many times have I read here on FHC, that “We LOVE Pics, Lots of Pics”, so I have obliged on “Occasion” Dayum, I think that I just did it Again Doug
We got 6 inches in Dover Delaware. Yep, I am excited. I think I am on the 3 year plan so there is no immediate need and it can dry out nicely.
