    Thx Urban Woods

Just measured it, 84.5 " circumference/26.9" diam at breast.

Maybe I'll harvest it in 30 yrs when I turn 80.

She'll be 96 at that point, unless she's on her "chariot" (the quad), I think I'll be able to outrun(outwalk) her.
    :D

But.. one does have to sleep sometime.

Realistically, don't think she'd mind one way or another.

As long as I don't bust anything dropping it.

    :)

Black walnut should have small walnuts on them now, at least ours do down here in GA. Welcome to the club also. Bunch of great folks on here, sharing knowledge and humor. I think you will like it here.

Can someone ID this? Cutting on my boss’s property and he asked me if I knew what it was.

This one has got me stumped. So much so i started looking it up. I was guessing some type of nut tree, but no compound leaves.
Cant say i recall ever seeinb anything like it before.

Im with buZZsaw BRAD and also stumped. It looks like some kind of nut or possibly coffee tree, but some clues just don't line up so hopefully others here know of this tree

Looks like tupelo (black gum) to me.....if it is, and you plan on splitting it, prepare for some frustration.....lol

By George I think we have a match! Never saw this tree before, but the leaves have the same polished gloss and leathery beefiness as our Sweet Gum trees here. Good call Scotty!

Thanks!! I’ll tell him the info. They really like the tree and it’s not coming down. I helped Mike B split gum once. Never again.

Hack leaves aren't as shiny like those in the picture and they show more veins.
