Thx bud Eric VW -Like I said, it's snobbery cause I can-I feel for our brethren who don't have access to hardwoods but they seem to make out just fine and I am happy for them...here where I am, poplar is a dime a thousand cords, pine is an after thought and I make it without it...glad others put it to good use...I appreciate my brethren here, I appreciate all
That sir, is prophetic...I revel in this moment because we do, indeed, appreciate all this forum brings forth...it is a kindred spirit of like minds...and I am glad I am here and have found like minds=good peeps...nothing but!
If I can get a few pics of the multiple ones at my Chiropractor firewood cutting buddy's house, your eyes might just pop out! The trees at his house are ridiculous huge. Some would even say Stupid Big!
They are all over NW Ohio. Way bigger than that too. Cities used to use them in treelawns. Rural folks used them to line their drive because they're fast growing. Now they're a nuisance/weed tree
Uh yeah, the ones here are mini redwoods. Quite beautiful and fragrant when in bloom too. They look like an orchid almost. Here's a full of a northern catalpa tree in bloom The southern catalpa, or bean tree, is pretty much the same appearance.
