    Yes. He told me depth depends on the width of the casing. The wider the deeper. 18 was the min on that tread.

    They make sure to sell sets of four of the same tire too. At least the sets I purchased. They where not mixed.

    Yes. Different brands are different widths and sometimes weight ratings.
    Low profile commercial drive tires have very noticeable width differences .
