I decided I’ll let eatonpcat pick out the few words in your post that I was emoji-ing about.

I hear ya, you did what you had to do to make it work. Before I go take this thing apart looking for anything and everything I have to work through the process because it’s only 2 mos old.

Xtrordinair needs to send someone out to take a look, it’s under warranty. I gotta (unfortunately) do this right just in case they can’t find the problem.

I’ve been in a conversation with 2 other Elite owners and both have said they believe something is seriously wrong. Possibilities; 1- factory manufacture failure or 2- install issue.

I’ll give this back before playing hole finder. This stove will probably never win me over, this first impression is a definite failure.

I still have Lorin’s phone number in my phone. I would get another IS in a second, just have to convince my better half.

    Thanks for the reply

Very likely they took the easy way out when it came time for the EPA 2020 certification test...I think there were many companies that if at first they didn't succeed, just add a lil more air so it will burn hotter and cleaner...and once that happens, goodbye reasonable burn times...

I just did some quick reading about online and was trying to search up some possible issues/remedies.

You're clearly an experienced burner, and I did my best to read through the thread to not repeat what others have said, so what I found looking through the manual is that if the problem is you're not getting a "burn through the night" to check the door seals- which I saw people say. On the same page in the manual it states to check if the door latch is holding the door tight enough, and the last would be to inspect the glass to make sure it is tightly secured with gasket.
Check Door Seal, Adjust If Necessary - FireplaceXtrordinair 36-Elite Owner's Manual [Page 18] | ManualsLib

Sorry to read you're having a problem with this model. A few years back I was at a Xmas party and the hosts had one. Not sure of the exact size, but they had a very different experience with the stove than you're describing. Hope you figure it out and barring that- get something you're happy with.
    Cheers / Happy New Year.

    Ha!
Mostly it seems to be how a member views a thread.
If you click the thread title, it goes to the first unread (or the beginning) post of a thread, but if one chooses the most recent comment posted- BOOM- skips over ALL the content up to that point.
Or the other possibility- folks just don’t read thoroughly.
