Be careful with very dry dried out hay and 100 watt bulbs. There are tons of boondocking (even in cold weather) videos out there, and builds from all manner of vehicles for Rv living.
I was thinking the same thing. Even laying it on grass. Hang it on a hook far enough away form stuff like hay, grass, Styrofoam or other stuff.
Yeah this wasn't intended to be directly on the hay. Have a collection of trouble lights but we'll see if we even use it.
I just purchased an oil filled one for inside the rv. I also got a kerosene one for outside but haven't hit the cold snap yet. We'll see how it goes. Have some 8 inch accordion style vent tubing we used for an ac as we couldn't figure out where the original one went. Our winters are pretty wet but I may just stick with Hay insulation without help from lights or other heat sources.
