We just spent 3 days at our Central Wisconsin cabin. We saw bucks every day and late one evening my wife watched one make a scrape in our yard. (her phone was in the cabin no pics)

    IMG_3406.jpeg

Our trail cam had 87 deer pics in three weeks.

By the looks of him, if deer could talk, he’d be saying “this breeding’ is hard work”!

He looks worn down. Probably hasn't eaten in a while and ran umpteen hundred miles.

My wife and I purchased a little over 40 acres this past winter and threw out a few cameras. Here’s a cool shot I got shortly after putting them out! IMG_8373.jpeg

Always enjoyed watching hawks, eagles, owls and the like. Equipped well for what they do. Last deer hunt of the year last winter, I watched 6 eagles. No great pics but pretty impressive through binos!

I hear that. I have two nice bucks coming in, but they're pretty much strictly nocturnal. Only six days left in the season. Such is life.

Yeah. It's been a tough year. Had a buck last night in scope, but it was in brush. Couldn't see one side, and couldn't see if it had 3 points on other side. (Need 3 pts. in my area). We have a few big four points running around. Didnt want to risk it.

How long is your season? We are lucky to have over 4 months here. Thats mainly bow, but that's my preference.

Archery is 3 months, muzzleloader is 10 days, and regular firearms is 25 days (and ends today). Walking has become difficult these last couple months, so very limited on what I can do. I only got out once for bear, could have had a small one, but opted not to shoot. Could barely get out of the ladder stand, back to the truck, and drive home that one time. I have four bucks (2 are pretty decent for this area) that have been on my property along with five does, and none have been harvested by anyone else yet. This season is pretty much a wash but hoping for better luck (and mobility) next year. I only do archery (crossbow) on my property. I know a lot of people don't like crossbows, but I can't use a regular bow thanks to that f*****g car bomb back in 2005.
