Interesting evening tonight....... I had a skunk in the live trap and he wasn't real happy. Tried to set him free but he was getting pretty agitated.

When I seen you had your trap out overnight I was wondering if you'd catch a skunk!

Yeah I am not having much luck this time around. I have caught everything but the coons so far and the kicker is the coons are on the trail cam all night every night. It's getting to the point they are running the deer off.

I caught a skunk a few years back and let him loose but I have no great love for them so it doesn't hurt my feelings to dispatch them. I had to shoot one early last year when it decided it was going to take up residence under a woodpile. I headshot it from about 50 yards and it never sprayed. This one didn't either but it still smelled.

Ya I'm no fan I skunks, will eat your garden and kill chickens just like a coon but smell awful. No fun catching them in a trap.

Well after catching a cat, a skunk, and two squirrels I finally caught one of the three raccoons.

I should add I never hurt him...... My buddy came over and picked him up to let him loose at his house. He has coon dog pups and wants raccoons around so they smell them and get interested.

Just put one of my cameras back out last night and got these pics in the last 24 hours. Was hoping for a picture of my 8 point that I have let go for the last two years but none yet.

I looked at Walmart. Prices all over the place. Just interested in playing around with one, not in spending a lot.

I bought a few older primos cameras for $30. They work good and I use them a lot on places where I'm worried about people stealing cameras

How much one of those cost? Might be fun down back here or at the cabin. Can they be left for long time stretches?

Anywhere from $50-$500+. I get pretty decent result with $100-$150 dollar ones and can tell a huge difference between My $150 and $49 dollar black friday specials. One thing I do make sure of is that the flash is IR and not a regular flash. I had have had the batteries in my Cabelas one for about a month and it had 16 gigs of pictures on it. The batteries still had one of 4 bars showing.

My personal favorite and best cameras are covert cameras. They take good pictures and batteries last forever. I have a few older cameras but they just don't compare. The new ones are smaller, lighter, take less batteries and last much longer. I can run a covert camera for most of the year on one set of batteries.
