Seeing that thumbnail pic I was like cool deep winter pic, then read "July", and figured it must be night vision!

PICT0153.JPG Interested in any guesses on what this deer would score. He has made it through the seasons untouched. Should be amazing come next year.

My guess is as a 9 point, he's solid in the low 140's, mid t0 high 140's if he's a 10 but I cant see a G4 on his R-He will no doubt be incredible next year, likely putting on an additional 10-15"...I think the deer is but 3.5 yo so prime is approaching...Good luck!

Here's another. He is 9. Your spot on with my assumption on score. Definitely will bust 150 next year and with good conditions may push the 60 mark.

This looks to be an offspring of the 9.

He's gonna be a brute...he'll develop some mass and really blossom in the next year-hopefully he's had plenty of nutritional intake-our mast crop was very spotty here this past year...hope you find his sheds then harvest him this coming season...nice to know he's likely already passed on those genetics-Again, good luck!

I think 160 might be high? This is a much better angle and I can see the tin length. But remember on Net score it's like that 9th point isn't even there. It's all deduction.

And like you said mass is key to boosting that score.

I collected the trail cam cards this past week while I set up some "antler traps". I pour shelled corn into blow-downs and vine clusters in hopes they force their heads through the junk going after the corn. I have been successful in getting sheds this way in the past. Around us, the deer can hold the antlers into April. I will make the effort to keep tabs on this buck and keep up the trap bait until I see him bald. If I could figure out how to load a video I could share a great clip of this brute. Only time he showed up during the day was once in early November.

Upload it to youtube and put the embedded link in your post the site software will automatically make the video Inbedded into your post so we can watch it here. Just like all the other youtube clips you see others post.

I use youtube to keep vids safe. I figure Google won't loose them they have back up back up servers. They can't loose that data they make millions off youtube videos so there gonna make sure that footage stays there.

I don't concern myself with net scores. References are all to gross. I think this buck has right side tines as follows G1- 4", G2- 10, G3- 9, left side G1-4, G2- 9, G3-11, G4- 9. Give him 20" beams and 19 inside spread. Circumference total of 22 inches. 137 with what I feel are conservative assumptions.

I think your calculations are spot on mywaynow and I concur-I've scored hundreds of deer and I get the whole P&Y, B&C thing but to me, I'm about bone on the head, what he has is what he is...a one-of-a-kind majestic animal to be treasured-It's about gross and not net to this whitetail nut...Nice vids

I shot this deer a couple of weeks later on a late draw permit.
